In short
- No accounts and no forms. Balzo does not ask you for any data to read the trail pages or download a track.
- Statistics. If you press “Accept” in the banner, Google Analytics counts visits: where you come from, which pages you read, which tracks you download. If you do not accept, nothing starts.
- Maps. The trail maps load their map tiles from OpenStreetMap and OpenTopoMap, which receive your browser’s IP address.
- Videos. A YouTube video loads only when you press the play button, in privacy-enhanced mode.
- Instagram. The posts on the home page are downloaded by Balzo before the site is published: nothing from Instagram runs in your browser and no Instagram cookies are set.
- Links to other websites (the Park, operators, WhatsApp for “Plan a hike”) open in a new tab. From there, those sites’ own rules apply.
- The site is hosted by Hostinger.
