Hi, I'm Giulio

Born and raised in Abruzzo, I'm into digital marketing, artificial intelligence and the outdoors. At the end of 2024 I brought these together and started Balzo.

2025 · Scanno

In 2025 I explored every corner of Scanno, my home village, and made all the GPX tracks and trail sheets of the Sagittario Valley (Valle del Sagittario) free for locals and visitors. Meanwhile, I shared practical tips and stories about them on social media.

I wanted to give tourism in the area a push, by showing its natural heritage to as many people as possible.

2026 · Abruzzo

In 2026 I widened my exploring to the whole of Abruzzo, and found an amazing region, with many places that are still little known (even to people from Abruzzo) and undervalued. Before starting this project, I knew very little about it myself.

So I started sharing more structured itinerary ideas, from 3 to 10 days, linking destinations that don't usually talk to each other.

With this site I hope to make you want to take some time to discover this area, so full of charm.
