Weather Policy

To help you plan your experience, we have put together a list of useful links to check the weather and get information about the trails:

The safety and comfort of our participants is our priority. For this reason, excursions may be cancelled or modified in the event of adverse weather conditions that could compromise the safety of participants or the overall experience.

1. Monitoring and evaluation criteria

  • Weather forecasts will be monitored through reliable sources, including MeteoBlue , 3B Meteo and Il Meteo.

  • Weather conditions can change rapidly. Balzo reserves the right to evaluate and decide the feasibility of the excursion up to the departure time.

  • A preliminary decision will be communicated within 48 hours of departure.

  • A final decision on the feasibility of the excursion will be communicated by 3:00 pm on the day before departure, based on the most up-to-date and reliable weather forecasts.

  • In case of uncertain weather conditions, the decision will be confirmed the day before to ensure optimal organization.

2. Conditions that may lead to cancellation

The excursion may be cancelled in case of:

  • Heavy rain or thunderstorms.

  • Very strong winds

  • Dense fog reduces visibility to less than 100 meters.

  • Official weather warnings issued by the competent authorities.

3. What happens in case of cancellation

If an excursion is cancelled due to weather conditions, participants will be informed by email or WhatsApp message.
You will be able to choose between:

- A full refund, which will be processed within 5 business days.
- Rescheduling of the excursion to a later date (subject to availability). Once the rescheduling is accepted, the participant will not be entitled to any further refund.
- A credit to be used towards a future booking, valid for 6 months from the date of cancellation.
